Approval Marks
What to Know
Before You Buy
Before purchasing, installing, or using any electrical product in Ontario, it must have an official approval mark from a recognized certification or evaluation agency. These marks indicate the product has been independently tested and certified for safety.
Using unapproved electrical equipment isn’t only unsafe, it’s against the law. It can lead to serious injury, property damage, and legal penalties for homeowners and contractors alike.
At Wire One Electric, we always work with approved, code-compliant equipment—and we encourage our customers to do the same when buying any electrical products or devices.
